Ring sizes
Measure a ring that already fits the same finger. Lay it on a ruler and read the inside diameter in millimetres, then match it below. If you're between sizes, go up; a ring should slide over the knuckle with slight resistance.

No ring to measure? Wrap a strip of paper snugly around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimetres. That's the circumference.
Chain lengths

| 18 in / 45 cm | At the collarbone. The standard for pendants. |
| 20 in / 50 cm | Just below the collarbone. Layers well over an 18. |
| 22 in / 55 cm | Mid-chest. Sits outside most shirt collars. |
| 24 in / 60 cm | Over the sternum. Long enough to tuck or show. |
